Background:
As an outcome of the Tyler 21 Comprehensive Plan, the City of Tyler, with the guidance of the members of the Historic Preservation Board and Historic Preservation Committee of Tyler 21, researched and initiated a historic district overlay ordinance to help better protect the six National Historic Register Districts in Tyler.
