Smith County firefighters rushed to a house fire Monday afternoon

TYLER - Smith County firefighters rushed to a house fire Monday afternoon that was on fire.

Authorities say it started around three on Creekwood Drive in Lakeway Harbor.

They say a wood-burning stove is to blame, just like it did last year when they came to this same house.

The fire marshall says the man tried to put the fire out himself and did not want to come down from the roof.

The fire was put out shortly after four.
